The album insludes so many great tracks from Here & Now, Power Of Love/Love Power, the soulful Don't Want To Be A Fool, and many other great tracks.
The music here has been all restored well, and delivers nicely. The songs here highlight some of his best material of the 80's and 90's as a great vocalist. The 2001 Ultimate Luther Vandross, is a well-rendered single disc reflection of his efforts during his Sony era. Well, the previously titled record with the same name, might be something that would suit die hard fans, as much as newcomers to the soulful songster from New York. Now, with his 2006 hits record, The Ultimate Luther Vandross, many diw hard fans have felt a bit short changed on what they've wanted. Although there have been numerous hits albums from 1998's Always & Forever: The Classics, and the 1999 Greatest Hits record, there seems like there are too many to go around. Although he has been one of the many singers who has thrived and deliver a beautiful collection of songs, there has been very few definitive reflections of his career. This past year, we have arguably heard of the tragic death of one of R&B's most elequent vocalists, Luther Vandross.
